Here's another snippet for you:
"After my three days of pure, sweet musical ecstasy at Max Yasgur’s farm, I found myself drifting off towards New York City. Although I had flown into New York City when I first arrived in the U.S., I hadn’t really experienced the city much since I had hopped into a taxi straight to Bethel almost as soon as I landed. I really had no idea what to expect, but I found myself drawn to the city life. I had spent 17 years and a few months of my life living in a tiny village not far from the capitol city of Ireland, and I had no desire to live in such a small area again. New York City was calling me, and I dare not decline her invitation.
I had just enough money for a deposit on a studio apartment in the Lower East Side with a small amount left over, which I hoped to be sufficient enough to last for a week or two until I got a job. It ended up only taking me two days to find a job, although I figured I would need a second job so that I could be able to pay the bills and still have enough left over at the end of the month so that I could move on to another city. Now that I was here in the United States I was determined to see as much of it as possible.
I found my first job in the classifieds of a local newspaper: it was selling vacuum cleaners door-to-door."
