This is why the Cold War Kids is the only band today that is comparable to Bob Dylan.
Notice any similarities? Those are two of the best songs of their respective generations. When you listen to the Cold War Kids the Dylan influence is ever-present. It is so blatant that you cannot even ignore it. But it doesn't take away from the music. It doesn't hinder or hurt the Cold War Kids. In fact, it makes them stronger. I mistakenly let a friend borrow their album after I purchased it. I didn't see it again for about two years. I had forgotten just how good of an album it is.
I recently watched the film L.I.E. starring Paul Dano and Brian Cox. I had been wanting to watch it for quite some time, but have been unable to find it. But then I found it at my school's library in the AV center. They had just recently got it in stock. The film was nowhere near as intense as what was expected, but it most certainly did not fail to impress.
I am still trying to figure out why Paul Dano does not have an Oscar to his name.
