it's all been said and done and my cock's been sucked

Life has been busy lately. Exams, papers, friends, girls, people doing stupid things, school, bowling, doctors, shopping. My fall break wasn't at all relaxing until the normal weekend and even that had its downfalls.

My best friend who is younger than me has started to influence me: I'm wearing Nike Shox and listening to rap and hip-hop. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Shouldn't I be influencing him to wear cargo pants and listen to Bob Dylan? Although the music is good and the shoes are comfortable, so I guess that's a positive thing, right?

On the subject of hip hop, I've been listening to Kid Cudi a lot lately. He's ridiculously good, and he's from Ohio, so he's got that going for him. Although, he is from Cleveland and let's face, not much else from Cleveland has proven to be good (I'm looking at you Indians!).

I've been slacking on my novel lately. I've been too busy to concentrate on it or to make any substantial advances. At most, I've written 200 words in the last two weeks. I feel a bit discouraged, but I'm hoping to make up for that soon. I wanted to be done by the end of the month as that is when I told a professor of mine to expect a manuscript, but I'm not certain if that will happen or not.

I need to finish reading Nickel and Dimed and return it to the library (although I think it's about two weeks past due) so I can write a book review on it. It's mostly going to be mostly bullshit I think. I've struggled to open that book up since Barbara Ehrenreich, the author, visited me class as many of her comments on small business left me fuming. She left me with the impression that she simply does not care at all about small business in America and how it is being threatened by poorly thought-out government regulations and the ubiquitous Wal-Mart.
